MEETING OF THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN
TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS
A Regular Meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the Town of
Westlake, Texas was held on the 5th day of December, 1988 at
the Dudley Ranch in the Town of Westlake, Texas. The follow-
ing were present:
Dale L. White, Mayor
Howard Dudley, Mayor Protem
Sherry Dudley, Alderman
Alvin Oien, Alderman
Carroll Huntress, Alderman
Absent: Gerry White, Secretary
The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:17 p.m.
Item #1. Resolution regarding Highway 114 was passed unanimous-
ly with Alderman Alvin Oien making the motion and Alderman Carroll
Huntress' second: with the following changes: in paragraph 7 -
"supports the northern bypass , alternative B (Church route).
Resolution #19-88.
Item #2. Resolution regarding Highway 170 was passed unanimous-
ly. Motion by Alderman Alvin Oien, seconded by Alderman Carroll
Huntress. Resolution 120-88.
Item #3. Consideration of a food service ordinance. Motion by
Alderman Carroll Huntress, seconded by Alderman Howard Dudley
to table the subject. Aldermen Carroll Huntress, Howard Dudley,
Sherry Dudley voted for. Alderman Alvin Oien voted against.
Item #4. Approval of a contract with Tarrant County to provide
a food establishment surveillance program. Tabled - no action.
Item #5. Appoint an alderman to fill Ralph Rampellinis' place
on the Board. Carroll Huntress nominated Scott Bradley. Mr.
Bradley withdrew his name to remain Planning and Zoning Commissioner.
Huntress then nominated Cecil Nechols. Alderman Howard Dudley
nominated Jerry Moore. Vote was taken by secret ballot. Jerry
Moore received 3 votes and Cecil Necels received 1 vote. Jerry
Moore will fill place on Board vacated by Ralph Rampellini.
Item #6. Zoning and Thoroughfare Plan put to end of agenda .
Item V. Towing Service Contract: Duscussion. Ordinance
needs to be passed first, then contract. No action taken.
Item #8. Consider an ordinance calling for election for the
adoption of a City Sales Tax: Alderman Carroll Huntress made
a motion to table subject until January, 1989 meeting. Motion
seconded by Alderman Sherry Dudley. Motion carried by unanimous
vote.

Item #6. Zoning and Thoroughfare Plan. Very lengthy dis-
cussion. No action taken.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:40 p.m.
