HomeMy WebLinkAbout07-01-86 TC Min9 MEETING OF THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake, Texas was held at 7:00 p.m., July 1, 1986 at the Dudley Ranch in the Town of Westlake, Texas. The following were present: Dale L. White, Mayor Sherry Dudley, Mayor Pro Tem Howard Dudley, Alderman Alvin Dien, Alderman Ralph Rampellini, Alderman Gerry White, Secretary Scott Bradley, Planning and Zoning Commissioner Absent: Jerry Moore, Alderman Also attending the meeting were: Mr. W. Edward Walts, Strasburger and Price; Mr. Jim Smith, IBM; Ms. Andrea Minoff, IBM; Mr.Norm Aspis, Mcguire/Thomas; Mr. Rick Gilchrist, Mcguire/Thomas; Mr. Carroll Huntress, Hunt representative; and--M-r- -Bud--H-aupt-mann, Me rie'i ngineering. The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:20 p.m. Minutes of the previous meeting were read by the Secretary and approved as read. Item #1: Consideration of a Site Plan from IBM and Item #2: Consideration of a Preliminary Plat from IBM. Mayor White suggested that these two items be discussed jointly. Planning and Zoning Commissioner Scott Bradley reported that the Planning and Zoning Commission held a public hearing on June 30, 1986 and recommended approval of the Site Plan as presented. The Mayor read the proposed Ordinance regarding the Preliminary Plat. During the discussion that followed, Mr. Bradley reported that agreement had been reached between Mr. Bunker Hunt and himself regarding the proposed realignment of Precinct Line Road in order to preserve a large portion of Mr. Bradley's road frontage. Mr. Edward Walts displayed a map of the Plat and answered questions from the Council regarding intended construction plans. Alderman Ralph Rampellini moved to pass and approve Ordinance #151, an ordinance approving the Preliminary Plat and Comprehensive Site Plan of Westlake/Southlake Park, conditioned upon the location of Precinct Line Road and granting a variance to lot sizes in Blocks 1,2 and 3. (Ordinance and Exhibit A-2 attached to these minutes and made a part hereof) Motion was seconded by Alderman Alvin Oien, voted on and carried unanimously. Item #3. Consideration of a request to of land in the Town of Westlake: After Oien moved to pass and approve 'Ordinance rezone a certain parcel discussion Alderman Alvin #152, an ordinance amending 11 Regular Meeting July 1, 1986 Page 2 Ordinance #49, as amended, rezoning from "L" -Low Density Residential to "P" -Planned Office Parr, a parcel of land described on Exhibit A (the Ordinance and Exhibit A are attached hereto and made a part hereof) Motion was seconded by Alderman Howard Dudley, voted on and carried unanimously.
