TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS
The Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlakd, Texas held a
regular meeting at 7:00 p.m. on June 3rd, 1985 at the Dudley
Ranch in the Town of Westlake, Texas. The following were
present:
Dale L. White, Mayor
Alvin F. Oien Jr., Mayor Pro Tem
Sherry A. Dudley, Alderman
Jerry N. Moore, Alderman
Ralph Rampellini, Alderman Absent: Howard Dudley
Mayor White called the meeting to order at 7:20 p.m.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read by the Secretary and
approved as read.
Item #1. Mayor White opened the public hearing to.consider a
request from N. B. Hunt (Lyda Hunt -Bunker Trusts, C. H. Mercer &
Paul A. Hope -Trustees) to annex 165.35 acres of land that is
contiguous and adjacent to the Town of Westlake. This was the
second public hearing to consider this request. No one was
present objecting to the annexation. The public hearing was
then closed.
Item #2. Motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem Alvin Oien, seconded
by Alderman Jerry Moore to adopt Ordinance #1'42, an ordinance
annexing a 165.35 acre tract of land that is contiguous and
adjacent to the Town of Westlake, Texas, lying and being situ-
ated in Tarrant County in the William Huff Survey; classifying
the same as low density residential use property. Motion carried
by unanimous vote.
Item #3. Consideration of the preliminary plat of the Lloyd
Addition. Mr. Robert Russell was present to represent Mr. Doug
Lloyd. After studying the plat, Motion was made by Mayor Pro
Tem Alvin Oien, seconded by Alderman Jerry Moore to reject the
preliminary plat of the Lloyd Addition as presented because it
does not meet the Town's Subdivision Ordinance requirements
regarding lot size. After further discussion the motion carried
by unanimous vote.
Item #4. A proposed boundary between Keller and Westlake.
Mayor Pro Tem Alvin Oien moved to keep the Town of Westlake
boundaries as they are at present. The motion died for lack
of a second.
There was considerable discussion after which motion was made
by Mayor Pro Tem Alvin Oien, seconded by Alderman Sherry Dudley
to reject the proposed boundary between Keller and Westlake as
presented. Mayor Pro Tem Oien, Alderman Sherry Dudley and
Alderman Ralph Rampellini voted for the motion. Alderman Jerry
Moore abstained.
