HomeMy WebLinkAbout09-10-84 TC MinMEETING OF THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake, Texas was held at 7:OO p.m., September 10, 1984 at the Dudley Ranch in the Town of Westlake, Texas. The following were present: Dale L. White, Mayor Jerry N. Moore, Mayor Pro Tem Howard Dudley, Alderman Sherry A. Dudley, Alderman Kelly Bradley, Alderman Alvin F. Oien, Jr., Alderman Gerry White, Secretary Scott Bradley, Chairman, Planning and Zoning Commission Also present: Derrell Johnson, Jerome V. Murawski, Jr., C. F. Stewart, Jr., Carroll Huntress and Rhonda Glenn Mayor White called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. Minutes of the previous meeting were read by the Secretary and approved as read. Mr. Derrell Johnson, President of Rady and Associates, Inc., informed the 'Board of a proposed TRA sewer study that would be of interest to the Town of Westlake since it concerns our area. Mr. Johnson displayed a map, answered questions regarding the cost of the study and said Southlake, Keller, 'Roanoke and Fort Worth have agreed to fund their portion of the study. The Board took no action on this subject. Motion was made by Alderman Howard Dudley, seconded by Alderman Alvin F. Oien to approve the Contract to URS Engineering/Barton Aschman Associates, Inc. for the State Highway 114 study and to authorize the Mayor to execute the contract. After some discussion, the motion carried by a unanimous vote. Motion was made by Alderman Sherry Dudley, seconded by Alderman Kelly Bradley, to adopt the resolution regarding the Town of Westlake's participation in Tarrant County's Community Developement Block Grant program for a three (3) year period, fiscal years 1985, 1986, 1987, and to allow the Town's population to be included in the total population of Tarrant County and authorize the Mayor to sign the form. Motion carried by unanimous vote. There was general discussion concerning a request from IBM to rezone a portion of land. No action was taken at this time. The Board of Aldermen also discussed the Town's ordinances affecting the Town's ETJ and the possibility of amending same. Again no action was taken. The meeting was adjourned.
