HomeMy WebLinkAbout10-14-83 TC MinMEETING OF THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS The Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake, Texas held a Regular Meeting on October 14, 1983 at 5:00 p.m. at the Dudley Ranch in the Town of Westlake, Texas. The following were present: Dale L. White, Mayor Howard Dudley, Alderman Jerry N. Moore, Alderman Sherry A. Dudley, Alderman Kelly P. Bradley, Alderman Scott Bradley, Planning and Zoning Commissioner Gerry White, Secretary Absent: Alvin F. Oien Jr., Alderman Also present: Trophy Club Homeowners Association members: Tracy Kunkel Connie White Mr. Bob Gunther, Trophy Club Project Manager Mr. Britt Phillips, President, Britt Phillips Co. - Developer Mr. Cliff McCloskie, Architect Mr. B. L. Nelson, Consulting Engineer Mayor White called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. V Minutes of the previous meeting were read by the Secretary and to 00 approved as corrected. kVA Planning and Zoning Commissioner Mr. Scott Bradley Presented to the council the Final Plats of Trophy Club Plantation, Indian Creek Townhomes and The Quorum Condominiums in Trophy Club. Mr. Bradley recommended approval of same with some provisions. The Board studied the plats and discussed them with Mr. Bradley, Developer Mr. Britt Phillips, Architect Mr. Cliff McCloskie and Engineer Mr. B. L. Nelson. After the Council studied the plats, Alderman Sherry Dudley moved that approval of the Final Plat for Trophy Club Plantation be denied without predjudice so that the developer can refile the plat at a later date. Alderman Kelly Bradley seconded the motion. Alderman Sherry Dudley, Alderman Kelly Bradley and Alderman Howard Dudley voted for the motion. Alderman Jerry Moore abstained. Motion carried. Alderman Howard Dudley moved that a variance to Article 9a of _ Ordinance #80, which provides that the building line for front yards shall be not less than 20 feet)be'granted to Indian Creek Townhomes so that the building line for front yards in the Indian Creek Townhomes plat shall be not less than 15 feet, for the reason that an easement for the Trophy Club Municipal Utility District #1 is situated between the property line and the existing roadway surface of Indian Creek Drive, making an effective 26 foot front yard from the curb of Indian Creek Drive to said building line. Motion was seconded by Alderman Jerry Moore voted on and carried unanimously. 6/ -' Regular Meeting October 14, 1983 Page 2 Motion was made by Alderman Jerry Moore to approve the Final Plat of Indian Creek Townhomes with the variance stated in the previous motion. Alderman Sherry Dudley seconded the motion. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Motion made by Alderman Kelly Bradley, seconded by Alderman Howard Dudley to approve the Final Plat to the Quorum Condominiums, prov- iding the 30 foot Bridle Path, as shown on the Final Plat, shall be maintained as a part of the Trophy Club Bridle Path system. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Motion made by Alderman Jerry Moore, seconded by Alderman Sherry Dudley, to approve Ordinance '#131, an Ordinance fixing and deter- mining the general service rate to be charged for sales of natural gas to residential and commercial consumers in the Town of Westlake, Tarrant County, Texas; providing for the manner in which such rate may be changed, adjusted, and amended; and providing for a schedule of service charges. Approval continjent on final passage of identical ordinance by Grapevine, Texas; to be implemented on same date as Grapevine and to authorize Mayor White to sign said Ordinance. Motion carried by unanimous vote. The last agenda item, consideration of an amendment to Ordinance #49, was tabled.
