TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS
The Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake, Texas held a Regular
Meeting on August 31, 1983 at 7:30 p.m.at the Dudley Ranch in the
Town of Westlake, Texas. The following were present:
Dale L. White, Mayor
Alvin F. Oien Jr., Mayor Pro
Howard Dudley, Alderman
Sherry Dudley, Alderman
Kelly P. Bradley, Alderman
Jerry N. Moore, Alderman
Scott Bradley, Planning and
Gerry White, Secretary

Mayor White called the meeting to order at 7:40 p.m.
The Mayor and Council thought that by combining the first two
agenda items the lines of communication between the Trophy Club
Incorporation Committee and the new owners of Tropny Club, the
Independent American Group, might best be served. In attendence
representing the two groups were the following:
Trophy Club Homeowners Association
Mr. Larry Best Mr. Dennis Diamond
Mr. Don Canton Mr. David Waller
Mrs. Tracy Kunkel Mr. Price Stark
Mrs. Beth Hayden
Mrs. Connie White
Independent American Group:
Mr. Laddie Woods, President, Independent American Real Estate
Mr. Bob Gunther, Property Manager
Mr. Mike Bergus, President, Independent American Management Corp.
There was a general discussion and question an answer period between
the two groups and the Council. The Mayor told those present the
story of Trophy Club since its inception. After this lengthy
discussion, Mr. Larry Best, spokesman for the Trophy Club Incorp-
oration Committee, asked for a five minute recess. After the re-
cess, Mr. Best asked if the Independent American Group would pro-
vide a letter to the Trophy Club Homeowners stating their intentions
and promisees made at this meeting. Mr. Laddie Woods said he would
comply.
At the request of the Trophy Club Homeowners Association, motion
was made by Alderman Howard Dudley, seconded by Alderman Jerry Moore
to table the request for permission to incorporate a city within
Westlake's extra territorial jurisdiction for an indefinite period.
Alderman Howard Dudley, Alderman Jerry Moore, Alderman Sherry Dudley,
and Alderman Kelly Bradley voted yes. Alderman Alvin Oien voted no.
Motion carried by majority.

Planning and Zoning Commissioner, Mr. Scott Bradley, suggested
that Mrs. B. J. Minyard be appointed to fill a vacancy on the
Planning and Zoning Board pending her acceptance.
Motion was made by Alderman Sherry Dudley, seconded by Alderman
Kelly Bradley to appoint Mrs. B. J. Mimyard to the Planning and
Zoning Board. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
The agenda item regarding building inspections was tabled for
further study.
There being no further business to come before the Council the
meeting was adjourned.
