HomeMy WebLinkAbout06-14-83 TC MinThe Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake, Texas held an Emergency Meeting at 8:00 p.m., June 14, 1983 at the Dudley Ranch in the Town of Westlake, Texas. The following were present: Dale L. White, Mayor Alvin F. Oien Jr., Mayor Pro Tem Howard Dudley, Alderman Jerzy N. Moore, Alderman Sherry Dudley, Alderman Kelly P. Bradley, Alderman Paul C. Isham, Town Attorney Scott Bradley, Planning and Zoning Commissioner Absent: Gerry White, Town Secretary Notion was made by Alderman Kelly Bradley, seconded by Alderman. Sherry Dudley to postpone reading of the minutes due to the absense of the Secretary. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Planning and Zoning CcaTrnssioner Scott Bradley reported that the Preliminary Plat of Section 14 in Trophy Club meets all the Town's Ordinance require- ments and reccnv ended approval of same. Motion was made by Alderman Howard Dudley, seconded by Alderman Alvin Oien and passed by unanimous vote to approve the Preliminary Plat of Section 14 in Trophy Club. After discussion regarding the incorporation of a municipality to be called Marshall Creek, the Council instructed the Town Attorney, Mr. Paul Isham to write a letter to Denton County Judge Buddy Cole stating that the Town of Westlake does not endorse the incorporation of Marshall Creek but will not oppose the incorporation. The next agenda item was in regard to dump sites. The Council wants an ordinance prohibiting dump sites in the Town. Mr. Isham was instructed to prepare an ordinance. Motion made by Alderman Sherry Dudley, seconded by Alderman Kelly Bradley to suspend the proposed increase in rates requested by Lone Star Gas Company for a period of 120 days July 20, 1983, for further study.
