HomeMy WebLinkAbout01-24-83 TC MinMEETING OF THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS The Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake, Texas held a regular meeting at 7:00 p.m. on January 24, 1983 at the Dudley Ranch in the Town of Westlake, Texas. The following were present: Dale L. White, Mayor Jerry N. Moore, Mayor Pro Tem Howard Dudley, Alderman Alvin F. Oien Jr., Alderman Sherry A. Dudley, Alderwoman Gerry White, Secretary Absent: Kelly P. Bradley, Alderwoman Mayor White called the meeting to order at 7:15 p.m. Minutes of the previous meeting were read by the Secretary and approved as read. The first item on the adjenda concerned the plats for Village West, Sections A and B in Trophy Club. The plats meet all specifications in Town of Westlake Ordinance #80 and were approved by the Council on August 15, 1979. Since that date a typographical error has been discovered.( see attached note ) This error in no way changes the fact that the plats meet regulations in Ordinance #80. However the typographical error must be corrected and the plats must be recorded again. Alderman Alvin Oien moved to authorize the Mayor to sign the Plats of Village West, Sections A and B in Trophy Club as corrected. Motion was seconded by Alderman Howard Dudley voted on and carried unanimously. 7Y Alderman Alvin Oien moved to pass and approve Ordinance #12`J, an Ordinance by the Town Council of the Town of Westlake, Texas calling and ordering an election to be held on the 2nd day of April, A.D. 1983, the same being the first Saturday in said Month, for the purpose of election three (3) Aldermen for the Town of Westlake, Texas, in accordance with the provisions of Artilces 978 and 1144, V.T.C.S,; establishing the hours and place for said election; providing for the posting in three public places in the town of Westlake as notice of said election; directing the Town Secretary to make up the official ballots, causing the same to be printed and delivered to the presid- ing officer; providing for the canvassing of the returns of the said election and declaring the results of same by the Town Council, and declaring an effec- tive date. Motion was seconded by Alderwoman Sherry Dudley voted on and carried unanimously. The Mayor and the Council then discussed the progress of the lawsuit between the Town of Westlake and W -B Investments. There being no further business the meeting was adjourned.
