HomeMy WebLinkAbout04-06-81 TC MinMEETING OF THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN TOWN OF IKESTLAKE, TEXAS A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake, Texas was held on April 6, 1981 at 7:00 p.m., at the Dudley Ranch in the Town of Westlake, Texas. The following were present. Dale L. White, Mayor Alvin F. Oien Jr., Alderman Sherry A. Dudley, Alderman Kelly P. Bradley, Alderman Jerry N. Moore, Alderman Gerry White, Secretary Scott Bradley, Chairman, Planning and Zoning Mayor White called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as corrected. Alderman Sherry Dudley moved to adopt Ordinance #120. an ordinance canvassing election returns of an election held on April 4, 1981 to elect three (3) aldermen. Alderman Kelly Bradley seconded the motion. Motion was voted on and carried unanimously. The canvass determined that Alvin F. Oien Jr., Jerry N. Moore and Kelly Pace Bradley were elected to the office of Alderman for a two (2) year term. Alvin F. Oien Jr. - 16 votes Jerry N. Moore - 16 votes Kelly Pace Bradley - 16 votes The oath of office was then administered to the successful candidates. Mr. Richard Ward was present regarding the Richard Ward, Trustee Subdivision. Mr. Ward informed the Council the the name of the subdivision had been changed to Shelby Estates. Following a dis- cussion, Alderman Kelly Bradley moved to approve the Preliminary Plat of the Shelby Estates as recommended by the Planning and Zoning Commission. Motion was seconded by Sherry Dudley, voted on and carried unanimously. Alderman Moore arrived late after conclusion of the above business. Mr. Scott Bradley reported that he had met informally with Mr. John Irvin regarding Mr. Irvin's possible request for a variance to the Town's Ordinance or in the alternative possible disannexation of a lot adjoining Roanoke, Texas.
