TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS
DECEMBER 3, 1980
A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake, Texas was
held at 7:00 p.m., December 8, 1980, at the Dudley Ranch in the Town of Westlake,
Texas. The following were present:
Dale L. White, Mayor
Howard Dudley, Mayor Pro Tem
Sherry A. Dudley, Councilwoman
Jerry Moore, Alderman
Kelly Bradley, Councilwoman
Absent:
Alvin F. Oien Jr., Alderman
Also present:
Scott Bradley, Chairman Planning and Zoning Commission
Gerry White, Secretary
Mayor White called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read by the Secretary and approved as read.
Since neither the Planning and Zoning Commission or the Council had been con-
tacted by the parties requesting a variance to the Town's Zoning Ordinance
regarding a 10.91 acre tract of land, no action was taken on the first adjenda
item.
Mr. Scott Bradley, Planning and Zoning Commissioner, reported that the Richard
Ward, Trustee Subdivision had encountered some problems necessitating with-
drawal of their request for approval of the Preliminary Plat. At the request
of Mr. Ward, the Preliminary Plat was withdrawn from consideration. There
being no Preliminary Plat before the Council, there was no action to be taken.
After a discussion on this matter, Alderman Jerry Moore moved to refund the
Preliminary Plat filing fee to Mr. Ward. Mayor Pro Tem Dudley seconded the
motion. Motion was voted on and carried unanimously.
The next adjenda item was a request from the Lone Star Gas Company to increase
their rates. Discussion followed after which Councilwoman Sherry Dudley moved
to suspend the proposed increase in rates requested by Lone Star Gas Company
for a period of 120 days for further study. Motion was seconded by Alderman
Jerry Moore, voted on and carried unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was
adjourned.
