TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS
APRIL 7, 1980
A regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Westlake, Texas
was held at 7:30 p.m., on April 7, 1980, at the Dudley Ranch in the
Town of Westlake, Texas. The following were present.
Dale L. White, Mayor
Sherry A. Dudley, Councilwoman
Alvin F. Oien Jr., Alderman
Kelly Pace Bradley, Councilwoman
Jerry N. Moore, Alderman
Gerry White, Secretary
Paul C. Isham, Town Attorney
Absent:
Howard Dudley, Alderman
The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.
Councilwoman Kelly Bradley moved to adopt Ordinance #117, an ordinance
canvassing election returns of an election held April 5, 1980 to
elect a Mayor, two Aldermen and a Marshal. Alderman Jerry Moore
seconded the motion. Motion was voted on and carried unanimously.
The canvass determined that Dale L. White was elected Mayor for a
two (2) year term, Howard Dudley and Sherry A. Dudley were elected
to two (2) year terms as Aldermen and Ted A. Elder was elected to
a Two (2) year term as Marshal.
Dale L. White 15 votes for Mayor
Alvin F. Oien Jr. 1 write-in vote for Mayor
Howard Dudley 16 votes for Alderman
Sherry A. Dudley 16 votes for Alderman
Ted A. Elder 16 votes for Marshal
The oath of office was then administered to the successful candidates.
The Secretary read the minutes of the previous meeting which were
approved as read.
There being no further business to come before the Council the
meeting was adjourned.
