TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS
The Town Council of the Town of Westlake, Texas met in regular session at
7:3o p.m., September 26, 1979, at the Dudley Ranch in the Town of Westlake,
Texas. The following were present.
Dale L. White, Mayor
Howard Dudley, Mayor Pro Tem
Alvin F. Oien Jr., Alderman
Sherry A. Dudley, Alderwoman
Jerry N. Moore, Alderman
Kelly P. Bradley, Alderwoman
Paul C. Isham, Town Attorney
Gerry White, Town Secretary
Mayor White called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read by the secretary and approved
as read.
Mr. Gary Sheffield, General Manager of Trophy Club and Mr. Bill Bell of
Carter and Burgess Engineering were present regarding Trophy Club's petition
to the Town of Westlake for the approval of an Ordinance consenting to the
creation of Municipal Utility District #3. After some discussion Mayor Pro
Tem Dudley moved to pass and approved Ordinance #114, an ordinance granting
a petition for the inclusion of certain land in Denton County Municipal
Utility District No.3, of Denton County Texas. Alderman Jerry Moore seconded
the motion which was voted on and carried unanimously.
The next adjenda item concerned a resolution regarding the Town's parti-
cipation in Tarrant County's Sixth Year Community Developement Block Grant
Program. After discussion, motion was made by Alderwoman Sherry Dudley
that the Town's population be included in the total population of Tarrant
County, Texas; and authorizes the Mayor to sign such additional forms a6
requested by the Department of Housing and Urban Development. The motion
carried unanimously after•bAseconded by Alderwoman Kelly Bradley.
Mayor Pro Tem Dudley moved to authorize the City Secretary to reimburse
herself for expenses incurred regarding City business including mileage for
use of personal automobile and also authorized the establishment of a Petty
Cash fund of $50.00. Alderwoman Kelly Bradley seconded the motion. Motion
carried by a unanimous vote.
There was discussion with the Town Attorney regarding the lawsuit brought
against the Town of Westlake by the developers of the proposed Cripple
Creek Estates. Mayor Pro Tem Howard Dudley moved to authorize the the Town
Attorney, Mr. Isham, to answer the lawsuit. Alderman Jerry Moore seconded
the motion . Motion carried by a unanimous vote.
There being no further business to come before the Council, the meeting was
adjourned.
