TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS
The Town Council of the Town of Westlake, Texas met in regular session at
7:00 p.m., on April 9, 1979 at the Dudley Ranch in Westlake with the follow-
ing present:
Dale L. White, Mayor
Howard Dudley, Mayor Pro Tem
Alvin F. Oien Jr., Alderman
Sherry A. Dudley, Councilwoman
Jerry N. Moore, Alderman
Kelly Pace Bradley, Councilwoman
Paul C. Isham, Town Attorney
Gerry White, Secretary
Also present:
William Foster, Chairman, Planning and Zoning Commission
Scott Bradley, Planning and Zoning Commission
Ted Elder, Town Marshal
Mayor White called the meeting to order.
Mayor Pro Tem Dudley made a motion to adopt ORDINANCE #111, an ordinance
canvassing election returns of an election held April 7, 1979 to elect three
(3) Aldermen. Motion was seconded by Alderman Oien. Motion was voted on and
carried unanimously. The canvass determined that Alvin F. Oien Jr., Jerry N.
Moore and Kelly Pace Bradley were elected for Two (2) year terms.
The Oath of Office was then administered to the successful candidates.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read by the Secretary and approved as
read.
Mr. D. Michael McAlister, Vice President of Cityventures Corporation, was
present and next on the adjenda. Mr. Darrell Johnson accompanied Mr. McAlister.
Mr. McAlister and Mr. Johnson appeared before the Council to discuss the Town's
Subdivision Requirements and to explore the Town Council's attitude towards the
development of the Quail Hollow Ranch in relation to the Subdivision Regulations.
A lengthy discussion took place. The major topic of concern was the availability
of surface water. At the end of the discussion there was no action taken and
the meeting was adjourned.
