HomeMy WebLinkAbout01-25-78 TC MinMEETING OF THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN TOWN OF WENTLAKE, TERAS The Town Council of the Town of Westlake, Texas met in regular session at ?too p.m. on January 25, 1978, at the Dudley Ranch in Westlake, Texas with the following present: Dale L. White, Mayor Howard Dudley, Mayor Pro Tem 0. R. Carpenter, Aldermen Sherry A. Dudley, Alderwoman Alvin F. Oien, Alderman William V. Foster, Chairman- Planning and Zoning Commission Leo Fikes, Planning and Zoning Commission Paul C. Isham, Town Attorney Gerry White, Town Secretary Several citizens of the Town of Westlake were also in attendence. The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7100 p.m. The minutes of the previous meeting were read by the Secretary and approved as read. Mayor Pro Tem Dudley moved to pass and approve Ordinance 102, an Ordinance regulating the subdivision of land; requiring and regulating the preparation and presentation of preliminary and final plats for such purpose; establishing minimum subdivision design standards provid- ing minimum improvements to be made or guaranteed to be made by the subdividert setting forth the procedure to be followedt and prescribing penalties for the violation thereof; Alderman A. F. Oien Jr. seconded the motion. Discussion followed after which the motion was voted on and carried unanimously. Alderman Oien trade a motion to adopt Or_ dingnce 1030 an Ordinance by the Town of Westlake, Texas, adopting subdivision regulations for extra -territorial jurisdiction area. Motion was seconded by Alderwoman Dudley, voted on and carried unanimously. Alderwoman Dudley moved that the Board pass and approve Ordinance 1049 an Ordinance by the Town Council, calling and ordering an election to be held on the lot day of April, 19789 the same being the first Saturday in said month, for the purpose of electing a Mayor, and four Aldermen and one Town Marshall for the Town of Westlake, Texas, in accordance with the provisions of Articles 978 and 1144 V.T.C.S.; Alderman Oien seconded the motion which was voted on and carried unanimously. The Mayor read correspondence from Mr. John W. Taylor, regarding the mobile home which is on his property, in violation of the Town's Ordinance #87. The Town Attorney was instructed to notify Mr. Taylor that his terms are not acceptable and that he must comply with the Ordinance. Regular Meeting January 25, 1978 Page 2 Alderman Oien made a motion that owners of mobile homes now within the Town of Westlake be made aware of Ordinance #87 regarding mobile homes. Motion was seconded by Alderwoman Dudley, voted on and carried unanimously. The Town Attorney was further instructed to inform other residents of the Town of Westlake, who have mobile homes on their property the the town has an Ordinance regarding mobile homes.
