TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS
A regulir meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Westlake, Texas
was held on November 28, 1977, at 7100 p.m. at the Dudley Ranch in
Westlake. The following were presents
Dale L. White, Mayor
Howard Dudley, Mayor Pro Tem
0. R. Carpenter, Alderman
Sherry A. Dudley, Alderwoman
William Foster, Chairman, Planning
Ray Bowden, Planning and Zoning
Leo Fikes, Planning and Zoning
Paul C. Isham, Town Attorney
Gerry White, Town Secretary
and Zoning Commission
Also present were several citizens of the Town of Westlake.
Mayor White called the meeting to order.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read by the Secretary and approved
as read.
Mr. Dean Fenton, from Trophy Club, acting in behalf of John McMackin,
introduced Mr. Norman Tobleman to the Council. Mir. Tobleman is
Project Director for the Lake Forest Village. Lake Forest Village,
owned by John McMackin, is a 75 acre section of land which was
formerly a part of the Trophy Club Community. Mr. Tobleman presented
a preliminary plat of Section 1 of Lake Forest Village for approval.
Discussion followed after which Alderman Carpenter moved to refer
the plat of Lake Forest Village to the Planning and Zoning Commission
for appropiate action. Mayor Pro Tem Dudley seconded the motion
which was voted on and carried unanimously.
Mr. Floyd Culbertson, Mir. Jim Culbertson, and Mr. Bill Boone were
present regarding the plat for the Carpenter Addition. Following
a very lengthy discussion, motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem Dudley
to table action on the plat of the Carpenter Addition and refer the
matter, for a period of one (1) week, to the Town Attorney for study
and recommendation to the Council. Alderman Carpenter seconded the
motion. Motion carried unanimously.
A complaint was registered to the Board concerning a mobile home
within the Town of Westlake, on property owned by John W. Taylor.
Alderwoman Sherry Dudley moved to direct the Town Secretary to notify
John W. Taylor, owner of the property, by registered letter, that
the mobile home, being rented, is in violation of Town of Westlake
Ordinance #87; and that the Town will grant 90 days to correct the
situation. The motion carried unanimously after being seconded by
Alderman Carpenter.

The Council was advised that Tri -County Electric intends to raise
their rates. Alderman Carpenter made a motion to instruct the
Town Attorney to contact Tri -County Electric and inform them that
the Council suspends the proposed increase in rates for 120 days
and requests additional information regarding same. Alderwoman
Sherry Dudley seconded. Motion was voted on and carried unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the Board the Mayor
adjourned the meeting.
