TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS
A regular meeting of the Town Council
was held at 7:00 p.m. on September 19,
Westlake. The following were presents

Howard Dudley, Mayor Pro Tem
B. H. Campbell, Alderman
0. R. Carpenter, Alderman
Sherry A. Dudley, Alderwoman
Paul C. Isham, Town Attorney
Gerry White, Town Secretary
The Mayor called the meeting to order.

1977 at the Dudley Ranch in
Minutes of the previous meeting were read by the Secretary and approved
as read.
The Town Secretary administered the oath of office to newly appointed
Alderwoman Sherry A. Dudley.
Euless City Councilman, Mr. Charles Hunt, a member of the Texas Airport
Advisory System, was in attendance. Mr. Hunt gave a slide presentation
and told the Board another general aviation airport was needed in Tarrant
County. After a question and answer period, Alderman Campbell moved to
pass a resolution stating that the Town of Westlake supports a request
that the Commissioners Court apply for a Federal grant to fund a study
to determine the location and design of a general aviation airport to
serve Northeast Tarrant County; and also requesting the Court to sponser
and furnish matching funds for such a study. The motion failed for lack
of a second.
Mr. Bill Boone, presented for approval, a plat of the development known
as the Carpenter addition., A lengthy discussion followed after which
a motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem Dudley to dis-approve the plat of the
Carpenter Addition as presented , since the plat , as presented, does not
meet the Town of Westlake Ordinance in regard to lot size, dwelling size,
and curb and gutter requirements. Alderwoman Sherry Dudley seconded the
motion. Mayor Pro Tem Dudley, Alderman Campbell and Alderwoman Dudley
voted for the motion. Alderman Carpenter abstained. Motion carried.
Mr. Dean Fenton, representing Trophy Club, asked the Board for final
approval of Trophy Club Section #8. Mr. Fenton informed the Board that
the original of the plat of Section #8 had not arrived on the plane as
expected. The Board was provided with copies of the Plat. Alderman
Campbell moved to authorize the Mayor to sign the final Plat for Section
#8 of the Trophy Club , as long as it is identical to the plat presented.
Motion was seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Dudley, voted on and carried unanim-
ously.
There being no further business, the Mayor adjourned the meeting.
