HomeMy WebLinkAbout04-13-77 TC MinMEETING OR THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS An emergency meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake, Texas was held on April 13, 1977 at the Dudley Ranch in Westlake. The meeting was open to the public and advance notice of the time, place and purpose of the meeting was posted in three public places within the Town limits. The following were present: Dale L. White, Mayor Howard Dudley, Mayor Pro Tem 0. R. Carpenter, Alderman Arvel Tate Sr., Alderman B. H. Campbell, Alderman Paul C. Isham, Town Attorney Gerry White, Town Secretary Several citizens of the Town of Westlake were also in attendence. Mayor White called the meeting to order at 7130 p.m. Minutes of the previous meeting were read by the secretary and approved as read. The Mayor administered the Oath of Office to re-elected Alderman B. H. Campbell. Mr. Lee Freese, representing the Trophy Club, was again present to further discuss the creation of the North East Tarrant County Water District. Mr. Freese told the Board of Aldermen that once the bill was introduced to the Legislature it would be amended to exclude the Town of. Westlake. Much discussion followed after which Alderman Carpenter made a motion that the Town of Westlake does not wish to participate in the creation of the North East Tarrant County Water District, Mayor Pro Tem Dudley seconded the motion. Motion was voted on and carried unanimously. Mayor Pro Tem Dudley moved to appoint Mr. Leo Fikes to the Planning and Zoning Commission. Motion was Seconded by Alderman Tate, voted on and carried unanimously. There being no other business to come before the Board, the Mayor adjourned the meeting. Attests La-Z- 7 ;E Wanda G.
