TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS
A meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake, Texas was
held at 7,30 p.m. on April 59 1976 at the Dudley Ranch in Westlake
with the following present,
Howard Dudley
B. H. Campbell
0. R. Carpenter
Alvin F. Oien Jr.
Arvel Tate Sr.
Dale L. White
Also Present ,
Paul C. Isham, Town Attorney
The meeting was called to order by out -going Mayor Howard Dudley who
turned the meeting over to the Town Secretary. Minutes of the previous
meeting were read.
Alderman Carpenter moved to adopt Ordinance #98, an ordinance canvassing
election returns of the election held on April 3, 1976. Motion wascr
seconded by Alderman Campbell. Motion carried unanimously. The secretary
read the election results.
The secretary then administered the oath of office to the newly elected
Mayor, Dale L. White and to Aldermen Howard Dudley and Alvin F, Oien Jr.
Alderman Carpenter moved to appoint Howard Dudley Mayor Pro Tem. Motion
was seconded by Alderman Campbell, voted on and carried unanimously.
The next item on the adjenda, consideration of a resolution of the Mayor'
Council of Tarrant County establishing a Utility Rate Study Committee
was discussed. Alderman Campbell made a motion that this item be tabled
for further study. Motion seconded by Alderman Dudley. Motion carried
unanimously.
There was discussion concerning consideration of the Mayors' Council
Resolution Regarding the Continuation of Revenue Sharing. Alderman
Oien moved that the Town Council of Westlake reject the Mayors' Council
Resolution regarding the Continuation of Revenue Sharing. Motion was
seconded by Alderman Dudley. Motion carried unanimously.
Mayor ProTem Dudley made a motion that the signature requirements on
the town checks and the town's Certificate of Deposit be changed to
Mayor White and the Town Secretary. Motion was seconded by Alderman
Campbell. Motion carried unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the Council the meeting
was adjourned.
