HomeMy WebLinkAbout10-22-75 TC MinMEETING OF THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake was held on October 22, 1975, at the Dudley Ranch in Westlake with the following presents Howard Dudley, Mayor Dale White, Mayor Pro Tem B. H. Campbell, Alderman Alvin F. Oien Jr., Alderman Arvel Tate Sr., Alderman Also presents William Foster, Planning and Zoning Commission Chairman Paul C. Isham, Town Attorney Absent: 0. R. Carpenter, Alderman The meeting was called to order by Mayor Dudley at 7:30 p.m. The minutes fo the previous meeting were read by the Secretary and approved as read. Mr. V. R. Henderson and Mr. Terry Irwin, representatives of the Lone Star Gas Company, were present to ask the Board of Aldermen to reconsider Lone"Star's request for a rate increase. After a lengthy discussion and question and answer period, Alderman Campbell moved to pass and approve Ordinance #93, an ordinance fixing and determining the general service rate to be charged for sales of natural gas to residential and commercial consumers within the town limits of Westlake, Denton and Tarrant County, Texas, and providing for the manner in which such rate may be changed adjusted and amended. Motion was seconded by Alderman Cien. Aldermen Campbell, White and Tate voted for; Alderman Oien voted against. Planning and Zoning Commission Chairman, William Foster, recommended that the Town of Westlake, Texas be rezoned in its entirety to agricultural. Alderman White moved to adopt Ordinance #94, an ordinance adopting sub- division regulations for extra -territorial jurisdiction area; providing a severability clause; and providing an effective date. Motion was seconded by Alderman Oien, voted on and carried unanimously. Alderman Oien itoved to adopt Ordinance jq5, an ordinance changing and establishing the speed limit on State Highway 114 from a point 1000 feet west of the intersection with Trophy Club Drive tp a ppint 1000 feet East of Trophy Club Drive; providing a penalty; and providing a effective date.
