TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS
The Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake, Texas met in refular
session at the Bilbo Ranch on April 7, 1975 at 700 p:.m. with the
following presents
Howard Dudley, Mayor
Dale White, Mayor Pro Tem
0. R. Carpenter, Alderman
B. H. Campbell, Alderman
A. F. Oien Jr., Alderman
Absents
A. L. Odom, Alderman
Also present:
William Foster, Planning and Zoning Commission Chairman
Ray Bowden, Planning and Zoning Commission
Paul C. Isham, Town Attorney
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Dudley.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read by the Secretary and
approved as read.
Alderman White moved to adopt Ordinance # 92 , an Ordinance canvassing
election returns of the election held April 5, 1975 to elect three
aldermen. Motion was seconded by Alderman Oien, voted on and carried
unanimously.
In accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, the newly elected
Aldermen, 0. R. Carpenter, B. H. Campbell and Arvel Tate Sr., were
administered the Oaths of Office by-'�..the Mayor and the signed oaths
were deposited with the Town Secretary.
Westlake citizen, Mr. H. F. Thrasher appeared before the Board re-
questing permission to construct a greenhouse on his property on
Pearson Lane. After a lengthy discussion, Mr. Thrasher was advised
to submit plans and specifications for hes proposed greenhouse to the
Planning and Zoning Commission along with an application to have his
property zoning changed from residential to retail.
There was discussion concerning the appointment of someone to fill
the vacancy in the office of the Town Marshall. Action on this
matter was postpomed until the next meeting.
Alderman Carpenter moved that the notary bond and filing fee for
the Town Secretary be paid for out of Town of Westlake funds. Motion
was seconded by Alderman Oien, voted on and carried unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting
was adjourned.
