TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS
The Board of Aldermen of the Town -Westlake, Texas met in regular session
at the Bilbo Ranch on February 26, 1975 at 7s30 p.m. with the following
presents
Dale White, Mayor Pro Tem
B. H. Campbell, ;Alderman
0. R. Carpenter, Alderman
A. F. Oien Jr., Alderman
Absents
Howard Dudley, Mayor
A. L. Odom, Alderman
The meeting was called to order by the Mayor Pro Tem.
The Secretary read the minutes of the previous meeting which were approved
as read.
General Telephone Company representatives were on the adjenda for this
meeting but asked to be excused and will attend a meeting at a later date.
Mr. McAnalley,.Public Relations Director with Tri County Electric
Co -Operative answered questions and discussed the reasons for the high
cost of electric bills with those present.
Alderman Oien moved to adopt Ordinance # 91, calling and ordering an
election to be held on the 5th day of April, 1975, for the purpose of
electing three aldermen for the Town of Westlake, Texas, in accordance
with the provisions of Articles 978 and 1144 V.T.C.S.; establishing the
hours and place for the said election; providing for the posting in three
public places in the Town of Westlake as notice of said election;
directing the Town Secretary to make up the official ballots, causing
the same to be printed and dds ivered to the presiding officer; providing
for the canvassing of the returns of the said election and declaring the
results of same by the Town Council; and declaring and effective date.
Motion was seconded by Alderman Campbell, voted on and carried unanimously.
Alderman Campbell moved to appoint Sherry Dudley presiding judge of the
election and to appoint Sheila White as her alternate; motion was
seconded by Alderman Carpenter, voted on and carried unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting
was adjourned.
