HomeMy WebLinkAbout11-27-74 TC MinMEETING OF THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS The Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake, Texas met in regular session at the Bilbo Ranch on November 27, 1974 at 7130 p.m. with the following members presents Howard Dudley, Mayor B. H. Campbell, Alderman 0. R. Carpenter, Aldermen Dale White, Mayor Pro Tem Also Presente Paul C. Isham, Town Attorney Absent: A. L. Odom, Alderman A. F. Oien Jr., Alderman The meeting was called to order by the Mayor. Minutes of the previous meeting were read by the Secretary and approved as read. Correspondence from North Central Texas Council of Governments was read regarding annual membership dues. Following some discussion Alderman Campbell moved that the Town of Westlake withdraw their membership from the Council of Governments; seconded by Alderman White. Motion carried unanimously. Alderman Campbell moved to adopt Ordinance # 90 - an ordinance regulating the use of outdoor advertising signs within a Town limits; seconded by Alderman Carpenter. Motion carried unanimously. Mr. Mark Love, from the Tarrant County Planning Department, informed those present about the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974. Mr. Love asked the Town of Westlake to support the application of Tarrant County for funding of the Housing and Community Development Act. After a question and answer period Alderman Carpenter moved that the Town of Westlake request their population be included in the population of Tarrant County for the purposes of community development; motion seconded by Alderman Campbell. Aldermen Carpenter and Campbell voted for the motion; Alderman White Abstained. There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned. Approved: Attesti
