TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS
The Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake, Texas met in regular
session at the Bilbo Ranch in Westlake on September 18, 1974, at 7:30 p.m.,
with the following present.
B. H. Campbell, Alderman
0. R. Carpenter, Alderman
A. L. Odom, Alderman
A. F. Oien Jr., Alderman
Absent:
Howard Dudley, Mayor
D. L. White, Mayor Pro Tem
Also presents
William Foster, Zoning Commission Chairman
Paul C. Isham, Town Attorney
Due to the absence of the Mayor and the Mayor Pro Tem, Alderman Oien
moved to appoint Alderman Campbell chairman of this meeting. Motion was
seconded by Alderman Odom and carried unanimously.
The meeting was then called to order by Alderman Campbell.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read by the secretary and
approved as read.
Mr. William Hudson presented for approval final plats for Sections 1 and
2 of the Trophy Estates Developement. These plats meet all the require-
ments set forth in the Town of Westlake's Ordinance #80 - Land Subdivision
Standards. Mr. Hudson also asked permission to change the street names
from the names that appear on the plats. This would be done at some later
date.
After some discussion Alderman Carpenter moved to approve the plats as
filed for Sections 1 and 2 of the Trophy Estates; granting permission
to the developers to change the street names at their descretion; the
original plat maps to be signed by the Mayor: seconded by Alderman Oien.
Motion carried unanimously.
Mr. Hudson presented petitions requesting permission to the creation of
Municipal Utility Districts #1 and #4.
Alderman Oien Moved to pass Ordinance # 88 , consenting to the creation
of Municipal Utility District i seconded by Alderman Odom. Motion
carried unanimously.
Alderman Carpenter Moved to pass Ordinance # 89, consenting to the
creation of Municipal Utility District #4; Seconded by Alderman Odom.
Motion carried unanimously.

These ordinances amend and stand in the place of Ordinance #82 and
Ordinance #85. The legal description of Ordinance #82 and #85 was in
error making the change necessary.
There was discussion regarding outdoor advertising. Alderman Oien
moved to instruct the town attorney to draft an ordinance meeting state
and federal highway regulations and requirements pertaining to outdoor
advertising signsl seconded by Alderman Odom. Motion carried unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting
was adjourned.
