HomeMy WebLinkAbout06-19-74 TC MinMEETING OF THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS The Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake, Texas met in regular session at the Bilbo Ranch in Westlake on June 19, 1974 at 7:30 p.m., with the following members presents D. L. White, Mayor Pro Tem B. H. Campbell, Alderman 0. R. Carpenter, Alderman' A. L. Odom, Alderman A. F. Oien Jr., Alderman Absent: Howard Dudley, Mayor Also present: Paul C. Isham, Town Attorney The meeting was called to order by the Mayor Pro Tem. Minutes of the previous meeting were read by the secretary and approved as read. Mr. Wayne Bobbitt, from Tri County Electric, introduced Mr. John W. Etheredge, Manager of Area and Industrial Development Department fo the Brazos Electric Power Cooperative, Inc. Mr. Etheredge showed slides and informed those present of the capabilities of the co-operatives in the Brazos System. Tri County Electric is a member of this system and would like to provide service to the Trophy Club. Mr. Roy Don Lynch, also with Tri County Electric, asked the Board of Aldermen to consider them and the fact that Tri County Electric has a franchise with the Town of Westlake. Mr. William A. Hudson, representing Johnson-Loggins Inc., presented a petition to the Board of Aldermen asking that all the land owned by the mror�ht' C7_z,b be di s -annexed from trey mown of Westls.I-e. Mr. Hudson di s?)laved a. map depicting this territory. After discussion, Ordinance No.78_y, discontinuing territory as a part of the Town of Westlake and extending the extraterritorial jurisdiction of the Town of Westlake, Texas, to include the territory so discontinued, was passed and approved on a motion by Alderman Carpenter; seconded by Alderman Campbell. Motion carried unanimously. Alderman Carpenter moved to adopt Ordinance No.79, an ordinance expanding the extraterritorial jurisdiction of the Town of Westlake to include therein all of the land within the Trophy Club Estates Planned Community; seconded by Alderman Oien. ?lotion carried unanimously. Alderman Campbell moved to adopt Ordinance No.80 , calling for certain Land Subdivision Standards; seconded by Alderman Carpenter. Motion carried unanimously. Ordinance No. 81, an ordinance adopting metes and bounds description and official map of the Town of Westlake, was passed and approved on a motion by Alderman Oien; seconded by Alderman Odom. Motion carried unanimously. 11 J _q F' Representatives for Trophy Club Estates presented a. petition to the Board of Aldermen for consent to the creation of five (5) Municipal Utility Districts. Alderman Campbell moved. to adopt Ordinances Nos.82-8�_ granting consent for the creation of Municipal Utility Districts numbers I. through 4; seconded by Alderman Oien. Motion carried unanimously. In the event that the Texas Water Quality Control Board does not approve Utility Districts numbers 1 through 4, Alderman Campbell moved to adopt Ordinance No. 86 , calling for consent to the creation of Municipal Utility District number 1, which would encompass all of the land in Municipal Utility Districts numbers 1 through 4; seconded by Alderman Oien.
