HomeMy WebLinkAbout08-16-73 TC MinMEETING OF THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS The Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake, Texas met in regular session at the Bilbo Ranch in Westlake on Thursday August 16, 1973 with the following members present: Howard Dudley, Mayor B. H. Campbell, Alderman 0. R. Carpenter, Alderman A. F. Oien Jr., Alderman D. L. Whiten Alderman Absent: A. L. Odom, Alderman The meeting was called to order by the Mayor at 8 p.m. The minutes of the August 2, 1973 meeting were read by the secretary and approved as read. Mr. Walter Roach, speaking in behalf of Mr. Robert Shytles and him- self, resigned as attorney and assistant attorney for the Town of Westlake. Alderman D. L. White moved that the Board of Aldermen appoint Mr. Paul C. Isham as the new attorney for the Town of Westlake: seconded by Alderman B.H. Campbell. Motion carried unanimously. The Board of Aldermen received much helpful imformation from attorney Mr. Paul Phy concerning the ordinances under consideration for adoption by the Town of Westlake. Mr. Frank Van Court presented to the Board of Aldermen an ordinance for their consideration to cover expenses that will be incurred by the Town of Westlake. After ome discussion Alderman B. H. Campbell os" moved that Ordinance No. 54, prescribing application fees to be charged by the Planning and Zoning Commission be passed and approved by the Board: seconded by Alderman 0. R. Carpenter. Motion carried unanimously. (Said ordinance attached hereto and made a part hereof) Alderman O.R. Carmenter moved that the Board pass and approve Ordinance No.55, stating the Town of Westlake will not abolish the municipal utility districts before they are self supportings seconded 7". by Alderman B.H. Campbell. Motion carried unanimously. (Said ordinance attached hereto and made a part hereof) Alderman D.L. Whit moved that the Board pass and approve Ordinances No. 56 through No. 60, consenting to the creation of municipal utility districts numbers 1 through 5: seconded by Alderman B. H. Campbell. Motion carried unanimously. (Said ordinances attached hereto and made a part hereof.) There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 8:30 p.m. Attest: ;ppr, ed: i
