TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS
A regular called meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the Town of
Westlake, Texas, was held at the Main Ranch House of the Circle T Ranch
in Westlake, Texas on July 23, 1973, at 7:00 P -m. Notice of governmental
meeting and agenda were duly given and posted.
Present were Mayor Howard Dudley, Aldermen B. H. Campbell, Owen
R. Carpenter, A. L. Odom, Alvin F. Oien, Jr., and Dale L. White.
Mayor Dudley called the meeting to order and called for a reading
of the minutes of July 2, 1973, and the said minutes were so read and
approved.
Mayor Dudley explained that Ordinance No. 51, an ordinance con-
cerning certain annexation proceedings for lands adjacent to the Town of
Westlake was made, seconded and approved during the meeting of July 2,
1973. The ordinance provided for a public hearing to be held July 16,
1973, at the Main Ranch House of the Circle T Ranch in Westlake, Texas.
Subsequent to that time, at the request of Mayor Dudley, the date
of the public hearing was approved to be changed from July 16, 1973, to
July 23, 1973. Notice requirements of posting and publication were duly
made.
Upon motion made, duly seconded and unanimously approved, Ordi-
nance No. 52, so as to reflect that the action of the Board of Aldermen
of the Town of Westlake, Texas in the meeting of July 2, 1973, setting
date of July 16, 1973, for public hearing on Ordinance No. 51, be rati-
fied and confirmed as of July 8, 1973, so as to reflect that the public
hearing be held on July 23, 1973.
There being no further business to come before the meeting, the
said meeting upon motion made, duly seconded and unanimously approved,
was adjourned.

TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS
A regular called meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the Town of
Westlake, Texas was held at the Main Ranch House of the Circle T Ranch in
Westlake, Texas, on July 23, 1973, at 7:00 p.m. This meeting was held sub-
sequent to an earlier meeting of the same date, the earlier meeting being
held for the purpose of adopting Ordinance No. 52. Notice of governmental
meeting and agenda were duly given and posted.
Present were Mayor Howard Dudley and Aldermen B. H. Campbell, Owen
R. Carpenter, A. L. Odom, Alvin F. Oien, Jr., and Dale L. White.
Mayor Dudley called the meeting to order. A short discussion en-
sued concerning the first meeting held at 7:00 p.m. on July 23, 1973, re-
flecting that Ordinance No. 52 of the Town of Westlake be adopted so as to
ratify and affirm the acts of the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake
changing the date of the public hearing as called for in Ordinance No. 51,
from July 16, 1973 to July 23, 1973. A reading of the minutes of the first
meeting held on July 23, 1973, was waived.
The purpose of the second meeting held at 7:00 p.m. on July 23,
j 1973, was for a public hearing concerning general discussion of annexation
S of certain properties in and around Westlake, Texas, as set forth in Ex-
hibit A of Ordinance No. 51 and discussion of the formation of a municipal
utility district.
There ensued a lengthy discussion between various citizens of the
community, representatives of those desirous of developing properties in
and around Westlake, Texas, and the mumbers of the Board of Aldermen.
After such discussion which concerned legal, financial and other
aspects of annexation proceedings, motion was made, duly seconded and
unanimously approved that the public meeting be adjourned and that a regu-
lar called meeting of the Board of Aldermen be held on August 2, 1973, at
the Main Ranch House of the Circle T Ranch in Westlake, Texas, at which
time such Ordinances as are necessary to finalize annexation and formation
of municipal utility districts will be presented to the Board of Aldermen.
Motion was made, duly seconded and unanimously approved to table
discussion of appointments of city marshal and a third member of the
zoning commission until some later meeting.
There being no further business to come before the meeting, the
said meeting, upon motion made, duly seconded and unanimously approved,
was adjourned.
