TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS
A special called meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the Town
of Westlake, Texas, was held at the Town Hall at the Circle T Ranch, on
August 14, 1972, at 7:30 o'clock p.m.
Present were Mayor Harmon, Aldermen Burger, Campbell, Odom,
Cathey and Webster; Zoning and Planning Commission Members Foster, White
and Shaneck:
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Harmon and the reading
of the minutes of the regularly scheduled meeting of July 10, 1972 was
waived.
Mr. Walter P. Roach, Assistant City Attorney of the Town of West-
lake, addressed the meeting concerning the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance
being considered by the Zoning and Planning Commission of the Town of West-
lake. The discussion was a general review of procedures and events which
have lead to this meeting. Mr. Roach then called for citizens' comments
concerning the Zoning Ordinance.
Mrs. V. C. Bilbo presented a petition signed by property owners
of the Town of Westlake opposing Ordinance No. 49, and requested that the
Council consider this petition in the form of a Motion of Opposition. Mr.
A. L. Odom seconded the motion and the motion was presented to the Council
for consideration.
After some discussion, it was generally conceded that the Town
Council and Zoning Commission should consider further proposals pertaining
to the Zoning Ordinance. On motion by Mr. Burger, the joint public meeting
was continued until October 16, 1972 at 7:30 o'clock p.m. in the Town Hall.
Mr. Odom seconded the motion.
There being no further business to come before the Board of Alder-
men, the meeting was adjourned.

We, the undersigned property owners of the City of Westlake,
Counties of Denton and Tarrant, State of Texas, do hereby protest
the passage of Ordinance #49 of the City of Westlake. We protest
on the ground that true and factual disclosures were not
advertised. We had no opportunity to be heard or represented in
this zoning. We do not know the parties asking for this vast
industrial and commercial zoning and we do not believe it is in
the best interest of the majority of the property owners of the
City of Westlake.

We, the undersigned property owners of the City of Westlake,
Counties of Denton and Warrant, State of Texas, do hereby* protest
the passage of ordinance #49 of the City of Westlake. We protest
on the grounds that true and factual disclosures were not
advertised. KLA had no opportunity to be heard or represented in
this zoning. We do not know the parties asking for this vast
industrial and comercial toning and we do not believe it is in
the best interest of the majority of the , property owners of the
city of Westlake.
