HomeMy WebLinkAbout02-26-69 TC MinSPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN FEBRUARY 26, 1969 A Special Meeting of the Board of Aldermen, Town of Westlake, Texas, was held at the Guest House, Circle "T" Ranch, on the 26th day of Febru- ary, 1969, at 3:00 o'clock P. M. pursuant to a call of Mr. R. W. Shytles, Attorney for the Town of Westlake. Aldermen present were Mr. A. L. Odom, Mr. A. H. Wilde, and Mr. H. S. Thrasher. Mr. Odom called the meeting to order and asked that the Aldermen sign a Waiver of Notice of the meeting. Mr. Odom stated that the first order of business was the swearing in of those recently appointed officials, Town of Westlake. B. A. Zwald, the newly appointed Mayor, Dewey Burger and S. B. Cathey, newly appointed Aldermen, and D. E. McSpadden, newly appointed Marshal, were duly sworn in and signed oaths of office before L. D. Head, Justice of the Peace, in and for Denton County, Texas. Mayor Zwald then directed the Secretary to file the signed oaths of office in the permanent records of the Town of Westlake, Texas. The Town Marshal, D. E. McSpadden, then announced that there were several persons he would like to deputize as Deputies Marshal of the Town of Westlake and in this connection submitted the names of the following - 407- persons for the consideration and approval of the Board of Aldermen: J. Glenn Turner A. L. Odom George Cunyus A. H. Wilde John T. Livingston H. S. Thrasher Elwin Skiles, Jr. Robert W. McLaughlin Paul Rothermel Dewey Burger Robert W. Shytles S. B. Cathey N. B. Hunt B. A. Zwald Dr. Carroll W. Browning Upon Motion duly made and seconded, the deputization of the foregoing persons as Deputies Marshal of the Town of Westlake, Texas, was unanimously approved. There being no further business to come before the meeting, it was upon motion duly made and seconded, resolved to adjourn. APPROVED: B. A. Zwald, MAYOR A. L. Odom, SECRETARY TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS WAIVER OF NOTICE OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN We, the undersigned, being the Mayor and all of the Aldermen of the Town of Westlake, Texas, do hereby severally waive notice of the time, place and purpose of a special meeting of the Board of Aldermen and do hereby call said meeting and consent to the holding thereof at the Circle "T" Ranch guest house in Denton County on the 8th day of April, 1969, at 7:30 o'clock P. M., and we hereby severally consent to the transaction of any and all business that may come before said meeting, including the adoption of a resolution canvassing the results of the municipal election held on Saturday, April 5, 1969. i B.
