WESTLAKE ACADEMY
BOARD OF TRUSTEES SPECIAL MEETING
July 14, 2009
PRESENT: President Laura Wheat and Trustees Larry Corson, Carol Langdon, Rick
Rennhack, and Rebecca Rollins (arrived at 8:13 a.m.)
ABSENT: Trustee Tim Brittan
OTHERS PRESENT: Chief Executive Officer Thomas Brymer, Town Attorney Stan
Lowry, and Secretary Kim Sutter.
1. CALL TO ORDER.
President Wheat called the meeting to order at 8:08 a.m.
2. EXECUTIVE SESSION.
President Wheat recessed the special meeting at 8:08 a.m. to discuss the following items
in executive session:
A. The Board will conduct a closed session under Texas Government Code section
551.071 to seek advice of counsel on legal matters involving pending or
contemplated litigation, settlement offers, or other legal matters not related
directly to litigation or settlement. Pending or contemplated litigation and
settlement offers include but are not limited to the following:
i. Rosevear and Simonetti
B. The Board will conduct a closed session under Texas Government Code section
551.074 to discuss personnel matters. Rosevear and Simonetti
President Wheat convened the executive session at 8:10 p.m. The executive session
adjourned at 11:17 a.m.
Trustee Rollins was excused from the executive session at 10:25 a.m.

3. RECONVENE MEETING
President Wheat reconvened the special meeting at 11:18 a.m.
4. TAKE ANY NECESSARY ACTION FROM EXECUTIVE SESSION, IF
NECESSARY.
President Wheat announced that no action was necessary regarding the executive
session items.
5. ADJOURNMENT.
There being no further business before the Board, President Wheat asked for a motion to
adjourn the meeting.
MOTION: Trustee Rennhack made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Trustee
Langdon seconded the motion. The motion carried by a vote of 3-0.
President Wheat adjourned the meeting at 11:18 a.m.
