For 2011-12, looking to have distinct events for PYP (performances, classroom visits), MYP (participate in class), and DP (participate in TOK class) Seen as an endowment opportunity Alumni Program Fledgling! With recent addition of second class of alumni & alumni parents, need to identify cultivation and outreach activities and calendar. Possible events include Homecoming, Winter Break potlucks, panel/roundtable discussions Focus on social media as a tool for ongoing communication A Year in review Effectively mined WA families for support via Blacksmith Clarified goals of fundraising events Implemented a review and grant process whereby nearly $100,000 has been distributed for teacher development Consulted industry experts, initiated a Strategic Review and 5-Year Plan Changed internal structure to improve efficiency WAF Vision To be regarded as an effective, high- integrity nonprofit organization providing financial resources to support the mission of Westlake Academy Complementary Missions Westlake Academy: Westlake Academy is a nurturing, community owned International Baccalaureate Charter School whose mission is to achieve academic excellence and to develop life-long learners who become well-balanced, responsible global citizens.
